| Short description: | The course covers issues related to the detailed anatomy of domesticated animal species. During the course student acquires dissecting skills essential in future medical practice. |
| Full description: | Teaching of the normal gross morphology of domestic animals. Providing the Latin and English anatomical terminology. Comparative morphological analysis. Getting the ability of description and specific differentiation of organs. Background for comparative anatomy, topographic anatomy, clinical anatomy, histology, physiology, clinical diagnostic, surgical disciplines, patomorphology, animal breeding and husbandry and meat hygiene. |

| Learning outcomes: | Knowledge: - identify and describe the organs of domestic mammals, recognize the anatomical differences between domesticated species, knows the general functional significance of particular structures and organs, understand the role of particular structures and organs for the clinical practice - understand the morphological diversity of domestic animals, understand the morphological relationships within the system of organs, know the relationships between the systems, know and understand the prenatal development of body organs and systems - knows both Latin and English anatomical terminology Skills: - use the basic dissecting methods applied in animal anatomy - perform necessary lifelong learning - use both Latin and English anatomical terminology - use the scalpels and pincers in order to find anatomical parts of subsequent organs and systems Social competences: - perform habit of continuous knowledge acquiring and studing - work within a working groups |
